Homemade Trail Mix Recipe
Tropical Trail Mix
Backpacking season is in full swing!! I am getting a little too obsessed with backpacking. Is that even a thing? Can you get too obsessed with backpacking? Well, anyways I love it!
With backpacking season being upon us that means good snacks are needed. We need healthy snacks that are yummy, calorie dense, and light weight. We want to eat them so therefore they have to be yummy, but they also have to be the other things too! Trail mix is all of the above. It is definitely a go to snack for me.
So, here is a good one to start...
Tropical Trail Mix Ingredients:
- 1/2 ounce unsweetened coconut flakes
- 1/2 ounce macadamia nuts
- 1/2 dried bananas (pssttt.... make your own with this recipe)
- 1/2 ounce dried unsulphured mango
Note: The awesome thing about making your own is that if you don't like one of these nuts then change it out for one that you do! Also, try to get the dried fruit with no added sugar.
- Combine all of the above into a vacuum seal bag. Seal and label.
- That's it!
Makes 1.5 servings.
I hope you all enjoyed this recipe. Don't forget to share this one with your friends! Did you make the recipe? Leave a comment below. I would love to hear from you.
Wishing you nothing but awesome adventures,
