Nut and Berry Trail Mix
It's Backpacking Season!!! I am so excited :) That means we need moreI know I have said it before, but I am going to say it again... STOP buying store bought trail mix! This trail mix might just be my favorite. Maybe I should rename it so something with a little more spunk, but for right now it is just Nut and Berry Trail Mix.
For me, I love trail mix with a nice even mixture of nuts and berries. Not too many of either, just an even amount of both.
So, here is a good one to start...
Nut and Berry Trail Mix Ingredients:
- 1/2 ounce salted roasted almonds
- 1/2 ounce walnuts
- 1/2 ounce cashews
- 1/2 ounce dried blueberries
- 1/2 ounce dried cranberries
Note: The awesome thing about making your own is that if you don't like one of these nuts then change it out for one that you do! Also, try to get the dried fruit with no added sugar.
- Combine all of the above into a vacuum seal bag. Seal and label.
- That's it!
Makes 1.5 servings.
